Electric field and field-aligned currents produced by asymmetric ring current

The formation of the problem concerning the calculation of electric field and field-aligned currents in the magnetosphere and ionosphere produced by asymmetric ring current is considered with the approach and equations developed by [1-3]. These equations were used previously for estimation of electric field in the ionosphere and magnetosphere appearing in the process of the spreading of energetic particles injected into the trapping zone of the magnetosphere as a result of nuclear explosion. According to this theory, energetic particles, injected into ring current, produce asymmetric divergent ring current, field-aligned currents, global electric field and currents in the ionosphere.
