On the basis of using the complex S parameters of the emitting and receiving antennas, which constitute a communication channel, we propose and study the method for registration of the scattering fields of the broadband antennas in the extremely-high and ultra-high frequency ranges in the near zone. This method allows one to rule out a contribution to the measured characteristics of the fields from the component of scattering by the receiving antenna, which is related to its nonideal matching with the load. The subtraction of this component during the processing of experimental data obtained during the registration makes it possible to significantly clear the observed effects of the "structural" scattering of the antennas during the studies of their directivity in the near zone. The subtraction of this component during the processing of experimental data obtained during the registration makes it possible to significantly clear the observed effects of the structural scattering of antennas during the studies of their directivity in the near zone. The subtraction algorithm can also be used to study the structure of the scattering fields of any objects in the near zone.
